Performing realistic simulations of truck cabin dynamics, especially during braking or on bumpy roads, in order to develop and test active stabilization systems, and to investigate the effects of the cabin dynamics on camera-based ADAS controllers like autonomous emergency braking (AEB).
To define the appropriate cabin pitch and stroke dynamics in relation to the cabin mass and the dimensions of cabin and undercarriage.
The simulation model ASM Truck supports cabin dynamics with additional degrees of freedom (DoF) for pitch and stroke. Users can define cabin dimensions like mass, inertia and center of gravity, as well as the coupling points and their stiffnesses and damping characteristics. All configurations can be changed during run-time via convenient graphical means in ModelDesk.
