The ASM.edu program is an offer for universities so they can use industrial simulation solutions in the classroom. The ASM tool suite is the ideal resource for seminars on engineering. Students can see the effects of diverse vehicle configurations directly in the simulation.
The ASM.edu program features two education packages:
The characteristics of combustion engines are represented by a mean value model with crank-angle-based torque generation, look-up-table-based turbochargers, dynamic manifold pressure and temperature calculation, and manifold or direct injection. There are models for simulating gasoline and diesel engines. The models can be extended by ASM Turbocharger, a physical turbocharger model. The package also includes ModelDesk, the graphical parameterization software.
ASM Vehicle Dynamics is designed as a nonlinear multibody vehicle system with geometric or table-based suspension kinematics, including elastic compliance. The model can be extended by ASM Traffic to simulate the surrounding traffic. A sensor simulation is available for developing driver assistance systems, such as adaptive cruise control (ACC) and Car2Car communication. Another extension is ASM Brake Hydraulics for simulating standard ESP braking systems such as those from Bosch, Continental, or ZF TRW. In this package ModelDesk facilitates the graphical parameterization process, and the 3-D animation software MotionDesk visualizes the simulation in real time.
The ASM.edu packages are available at attractive prices under the following conditions:
